We all know how much sounds can affect us. Softly spoken words melt our hearts, the jarring sound of a glass crashing on the floor or the sweetest of all: Trembling footsteps of a toddler..
The question is.. the effects from these sounds, is it all in our heads? Are these sounds only as good or bad as we ascribe them to be, or is there an objective quality to sound, that directly affects us? To really get to the bottom of this, we need..
What if your toothbrush vibrated at 528 Hz?
You’ve asked me for a long time to complete this project, so let’s make it happen! When you use an electric toothbrush, it mechanically vibrates you with a force that is enormous compared to the sounds that we hear. In fact, to get the same effect as this one, you would need something like 50,000+ watt speakers 1 meter away from you.
When someone with great effort achieves little, we say they are "huffing and puffing", and that's quite literally what the speaker does.
To really move something, you have to grab it by your hands and shake it directly. This is what your toothbrush is doing to you, every single day! At some random frequency. No more. Let's grab the leash, let's take control!
Best of all, this little improvement in your life takes zero seconds or effort, since you already brush your teeth. Now, you can enjoy some minutes of hyper-powerful 528 Hz vibrations every single day!
All I need is for enough people to purchase so that I can pay for manufacturing and up-front costs. If not enough do, I will refund everyone and there won't be a toothbrush, so tell your friends! All proceeds will accelerate esoteric water research (and feed the wizard's family).

All good things come in threes..
There are three different types of brushes included in your pre-order. The first is a fairly traditional plastic bristle head. Nothing fancy or special about it. It does the job! The other two are a little more special. They are made from natural hair! One is made from boar bristle and the other from horse bristles. The latter is softer, but depending on which frequency you like, you might appreciate the slightly harder and rougher surface of the boar bristles! You can get replacement bristles at Amazon (why am I telling you this?) or right here, last time I checked this is cheaper than Amazon actually..
The Frequencies
Before we talk about the frequency of the toothbrush, let's talk about YOUR frequency! The frequency of your heart is mostly down to your activity level, only rarely does something affect us so much that it makes our heart skip a beat. A lesser known, but no less important, frequency is found in your brain. When you are high-energy, hyped-up and energetic then your brain frequency is relatively high, and if you are relaxed the brain frequency is typically lower. It has been known for some time that we can influence the brain frequency through light and sound. Or you can look to your own lived experience, turn on some fluorescent office lights and feel your brain frequency quickly increase..
How can there be TWO frequencies?
Let's say we run the toothbrush motor at 528 Hz. You can imagine this being the RPM of the motor in your car. Now, when you are driving, you could play back-and-forth with the gas pedal at a very low frequency, could you not? The car is still running at 1000+ RPM, and yet you are superimposing a lower frequency on it. That's what we do here. Electric toothbrushes sometimes have a mode like this with two frequencies, because it cleans better.
When we do this, we get more than just 528 Hz and 7.83 Hz. The frequencies mix, and shift! Below you see that the 528 Hz peak has split into three separate peaks, spaced apart by 7.83 Hz. It sounds much, much better this way, I'm sure you agree when you play around with the frequency simulator above!
The frequencies measured above is from a regular phone microphone, so there's a slight inaccuracy. The actual frequencies used are created digitally with very high precision.
528 Hz
By far the most popular "healing frequency", and with good reason! It really does feel good. There's actually a bit of science about this sound frequency, so let's go through that. When we say 528 Hz it can refer to two different things, either the specific frequency, or music tuned to C=528 Hz. This is commonly referred to as the frequency of love and there seems to be something to this, actually! If there was a "chemical of love" then it would be Oxytocin and we have a study showing that 528 Hz music significantly increases oxytocin[13]
The same study also looked cortisol. You can see below how 528Hz-tuned music compares to the standard 440Hz music when measuring cortisol:
Another study in rats[15] subjected them to different volumes of 528 Hz and then measured how much testosterone they had in their brain, and depending on the volume they had either a little bit more or almost double the amount:
432 Hz
You have probably heard about the 'conspiracy theory' that 'the powers that be' changed the tuning of music from A=432Hz to A=440Hz around 100 years ago to deliberately make it worse. I will not speculate about whether this change was purposefully made to harm us or not, but it does seem to be factual that music tuned to 432Hz is better. There are double-blinded studies showing that 432 Hz music lowers heart rate, respiration rate[9,10] and stress level[11] compared to regular 440 Hz-tuned music.
Another study[12] shows that sleep quality improves with 432Hz music, without affecting time-to-fall-asleep which together with EEG scans implies that the mechanism is a direct calming on your brainwaves.
417 Hz
One of the so-called Solfeggio frequencies. According to healing frequency enthusiasts, this frequency removes negative energy and helps you "sacral chakra". Don't ask me, I'm just a humble toothbrush engineer.
396 Hz
This one is supposed to release you from guilt and/or fear. Sounds like a good deal!
285 Hz
This one is pretty cool, it's supposed to assist cellular regeneration, I like it. Very popular.
174 Hz
They say this is good against physical pain and migraines. It certainly sounds pleasant. This one will probably not be all that great to brush your teeth with since it is so low, so the resulting vibration will be quite weak, but we keep it because in the future we could have a large attachment which resonates at this frequency.
The Lower Frequencies
If the high frequency was the RPM on your car engine, the lower frequency is when you step on/off on the gas pedal while driving. This only works at a much lower frequency than the motor is driven at. It just so happens, that this frequency range also has some very pleasant-sounding supposedly-healing frequencies that we can choose from!
Furthermore, our own brain is running at similar frequencies! It depends greatly on your mood. See the typical brain frequency ranges here:
0.50 Hz
Well, we can't go much lower than this, can we? 0.5 Hz sound waves is a common way to lower one's brain frequency, for meditative flow-states, relaxation and deeper sleep. 0.5 Hz happens to be the very lowest brain frequency possible! So this is like the final boss of the lower range.
7.83 Hz
The so-called Schumann resonance frequency; the electromagnetic field of Earth pulsates at 7.83 Hz, so if there is any singular frequency we ought to be naturally accustomed to, this is it. Sound waves and electromagnetic waves are of course different, but it does sound nice, doesn't it? 7.83 Hz is quite popular on streaming platforms as a healing sound wave. It's too low-frequency to be played by speakers directly, so any 7.83 Hz you hear is superimposed on a higher frequency, just like we do.
14.3 Hz
This is the second Schumann frequency.
20.8 Hz
This is the third Schumann frequency.
27.3 Hz
This is the fourth Schumann frequency.
33.8 Hz
This is the fifth and final Schumann frequency. We should probably use these, maybe in staggered order, when we want to raise our own brain frequency. Cycling up in the morning, down in the evening?
40 Hz
This is actually the most studied sound frequency out of all. 40 Hz sound waves is a pretty reliable way to induce the highest brain frequencies (gamma) and this does wonders for cognitive decline and Alzheimers. I have to say, personally, I am not too fond of this frequency. It feels harsh. Maybe that's why it helps against Alzheimers? Maybe a sustained barrage of the iPhone Default Alarm Clock signal would also help against Alzheimers. Who knows. All I know is that 40 Hz feels off to me. But since there is so much research supporting it, it is included here anyway, despite the inventors personal preference.
Isn't this just the good old placebo effect?
One would certainly think so! Let's look into it, shall we?
We can start with a study[1] which showed that human breast cancer cells, which obviously are not equipped for auditory processing, significantly changed behavior and hormone activity based on sounds.
Another good example are infrasounds; the human ear can hear everything from 20 Hz to 20 000 Hz so the word infrasound refers to everything below 20 Hz.
If we can't hear it, it shouldn't affect us much.. right?
Let's see what a brain scan looks like after some 12 Hz, shall we?
There was a very reliable pattern, where some of the zones being activated in the brain scan above are involved in auditory processing, others with emotional control and the autonomic nervous system.
Did you notice that I changed the color of someone's brain scans to match the brand colors? That's what you call dedication.
There are plenty of animal studies on infrasound, with some really grim effects such as reduced learning capability and down-regulated protein expression in rats from 16 Hz[3] and significantly lowered testosterone & libido[4] but the worst study is probably the one where they showed that infrasound induced vascular fibrosis[5]
If you prefer studies with large human data sets, there was a British double concert where they tried adding 17 Hz and people felt significant discomfort[7]
I always find it amusing how the academic scientists are obsessed with reducing matters, to a comical degree. When they see behavioral changes in people from infrasound, their instinct is to look for hidden mechanisms in the ear which could theoretically react to infrasound.. I believe our time is better spent looking in the opposite direction, where we assume that a direct interaction from the sound upon any cell is the mechanism.
As a sidenote, the psychological effects of infrasound are sometimes cited as a possible mechanism for paranormal phenomenon. There is a chapter on Wikipedia about how infrasound can cause ghost sightings[6] something I have also seen mentioned in the police investigations of the infamous Dyatlov Pass incident.
Furthermore, can snails experience the placebo effect? There is one very interesting study where researchers used tuning forks with different frequencies to see if it affected snails completing a maze and the difference was dramatic! The most efficient frequency was 320 Hz which decreased the maze completion time from 16 minutes to 5 minutes and the researchers described the snails as extremely active and alert[16]
If I pre-buy, how long will I have to wait?
If nothing unforeseen happens, knock on 528Hz-resonant wood, then all toothbrushes from the pre-buy should be shipped in December 2026.
Can you really deliver ANYWHERE?
Almost. I can ship to North Korea, Greenland, no problem. Yet some countries are real complicated when it comes to sending rechargeable batteries. We cannot send orders to China, Italy, Hong Kong, Japan, Laos and Madagascar. If there is a war going on, like Iran and Israel, it's sometimes not possible to deliver either.
What's the catch? This is too good to be true.
There is indeed a catch, but I think it is one that you can accept! Usually, when you design a "sonic" electric toothbrush, you build it, and then you try driving it at a wide frequency range, and see at which frequency it achieves the strongest vibration, through acoustic resonance. This is what they engineer for, this is the ONLY thing they care about, because it's the only thing that customers care about. So far! That's about to change. Soon enough, you'll find all sorts of cheap no-name frequency toothbrushes, they are here to stay. I'll feel pride when I see the factories copy my ideas and designs, we don't care about copyright or intellectual "property" around here.
Obviously, we do things differently. We already know our desired frequencies, so we try to choose the right design and material for the toothbrush to achieve decent acoustic resonance. Since we have multiple frequencies, this means that some will work better than others, if you want to clean your teeth a few seconds faster every morning, you should use the loudest frequency.
Personally, I prefer using my favorite frequencies rather than whatever will get the job done quick; if that was my priority, I would use some regular toothbrush!
If you consider that manual toothbrushes work pretty well without any vibration whatsoever, an electric toothbrush with slightly lower vibration amplitude doesn't seem like the end of the world, does it?
With that said, I'm confident that future models will surpass what the other companies are doing in every single way, but this is the very first version, so let's start with more modest expectations.
Are there any esoteric electrical features?
If you're familiar with the rest of this site and what we're doing with the water, you might be curious whether this toothbrush has any such features, and the answer is currently no. I am indeed thinking about compatible accessories which can utilize this toothbrush to charge water, but this is one for the future. If you have no idea what I am talking about here, check out the rest of the site when you get the chance, you're in for a big surprise.
Are the bristles easy to replace?
Yes, they are. I send one of each type, so you can figure out which one you prefer. You can always get more here, I actually have lower prices than anything on Amazon last time I checked, but it's not hard to find similar bristles in a million other places. Wait, why am I telling you this? Because to me, this is about helping people.
Hmm, what if.. we attached something other than a toothbrush head?
Yes, this is definitely something we will get creative with. Right now, this is a toothbrush. But if you think about it, you have a 1 watt mechanical vibration that could perform all sorts of work. And the cool thing is that if we engineer well and design something with resonance, we could set something very big in motion with this! Nikola Tesla created a minor earthquake with his mechanical oscillator, he got his entire New York block to shake with a small table-top device. He smashed it with a hammer to make it stop! Thankfully, this device is not that powerful, we will never reach that kind of resonance with this! The engineering principle is that the larger the resonant body is, the lower the frequency. Most of the high frequencies are well suited to a small tooth brush head, but the 285 Hz would fit better with something larger.. like a goat hair face brush, sounds good right? To give some room for future creativity here, I put in a secret final frequency that's currently quite useless for toothbrushing but might be very useful down the line, when we have larger attachments.. when you toggle past the final frequency, instead of shutting off like the simulated toothbrush on this page, you enter a mode where every LED blinks and it outputs the lowest Solfeggio frequency, 174 Hz.
Wait, did you just say there is a secret frequency?
Yes, of course there is. Don't act so surprised!
When will we know if enough toothbrushes have been sold to make it real?!
By mid-October 2026 at the latest. I got a feeling this will be a big success, so I don't think we should worry too much about this. Let's plan the victory parade instead. Who's invited?
Can I shower with it?
Yes! It's waterproof with IPX7 certification, which means you could hold it 1 meter underwater for 30 minutes. While that seems excessive, a shower is no problem at all. You could perhaps use it in the bath, if you're creative with it. Might not be great for product lifespan, and watch out so you don't overheat it with hot water, but the important thing is that you have fun and remember to let everything dry off quickly afterwards, especially the wood.
What about EMF?
I've tried to engineer a reduction of it, but it proved much harder than I anticipated. Everyone always talks about mu-metal like some theoretical solution to this and that, but you know who actually got some, and tried wrapping an electric toothbrush with it? This guy, right here. It didn't help. I also tried to coil the motor with copper wire with a resistive load to magnetically shield the motor, but I got nowhere with that either. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be glad to try them.
On the other hand.. If a sound frequency is beneficial, maybe its also beneficial as an frequency for a magnetic field? After all, the exchangeability between these two things is the basis of 7.83 Hz being included here! It is actually very cool when you think about it, that you are also generating a 7.83 Hz magnetic field in your hand, the very same as the Earth we stand on. The same goes for all the higher Schumann frequencies included in the brush. It may well be a good thing. The best would be if we could have the shielding turned on and off at will.. One day. Until then, this toothbrush has similar EMF as other toothbrushes of similar power ratings.
Are you familiar with the "brown note"?
Uh, no..
How can I contact you?
If you were the one that asked the previous question, please don't! If that wasn't you, then send your toothbrush-related questions to hello@thehealthiestwebsite.com
What's your return policy?
Since it's a hygiene product; the idea of a refurbished or used toothbrush is preposterous, returns are only accepted when the product is defective. Let us know if this were to happen, hopefully it won't ever!
